About Mindful Growth Solutions
At Mindful Growth Solutions, we believe healthy organisations start with psychologically safe, supported people.
We work with UK organisations to strengthen workplace mental health, leadership capability and long-term wellbeing through practical, evidence-based training and coaching.
Our mission is simple: to help businesses create cultures where people can perform, grow and thrive — without sacrificing their wellbeing.
Meet the Team
Mindful Growth Solutions was founded by Angela Bird and Debbie Walton, registered mental health nurses and senior leaders with a passion for helping organisations create supportive, high-performing cultures.
About Angela
With 30 years’ experience in mental health nursing, I help organisations create psychologically safe, high-performing workplaces where people can thrive.
I work with businesses to design and implement practical, tailored strategies that improve wellbeing, leadership capability, and team effectiveness. My support includes consultation, executive coaching, and group facilitation — all grounded in deep clinical expertise and extensive operational and strategic leadership experience.
Having led quality improvement and large-scale transformation initiatives, I understand both the human and organisational dynamics that shape culture and performance. My approach bridges evidence-based psychological insight with real-world business application.
I hold an MA in Coaching and Mentoring Practice from Oxford Brookes University and a BSc (Hons) in Forensic Mental Health, alongside further professional certifications. I am committed to continuous development to ensure the support I offer remains relevant, practical, and impactful.

About Debbie
For nearly 40 years, I’ve dedicated my career to supporting individuals and organisations within the NHS as a Registered Mental health Nurse.
This journey has instilled in me a deep passion for promoting well-being and creating supportive environments where people can thrive. As one colleague stated, my “commitment to patient care, particularly focusing on people with severe and enduring mental illness, being their voice and transforming services, has been truly amazing…few people have done more to breakdown mental health stigma, open doors to care and place people at the heart of services,” and this principle guides my work at Mindful Growth Solutions.
I bring this passion and extensive experience, along with formal training to Masters level in leadership areas such as Coaching for Leaders, Authentic Leadership, and Leading Large Scale Change, to the business world, offering tailored training, mentoring, and support programs designed to improve workplace mental health.
My experience includes:
Decades of direct patient care, providing a profound understanding of mental health challenges.
Significant leadership experience in both clinical and non-clinical roles, enabling me to effectively guide and support organisations.
A proven track record of mentoring staff and leading teams through successful change initiatives, including the development of new mental health teams and large-scale systems.
Extensive experience facilitating team away days, training events, and meetings, creating engaging and productive experiences.

Our Purpose

Workplace stress and burnout are no longer isolated issues — they are organisational challenges that affect performance, retention and culture.

Many organisations invest in wellbeing initiatives but struggle to embed lasting change.
Mindful Growth Solutions was created to bridge that gap.
We provide structured, practical workplace mental health training and leadership coaching that equips organisations with the confidence and tools to make wellbeing part of everyday culture — not just a policy document.
